1493-1505 BROADWAY
NEW YORK Oct. 31, 1919.
Mr Adolph Zukor,
485 Fifth Aye.,
New York City.
My dear Adolph:-
I am in receipt of yours of the 30th inst.,
and in reply beg to state that we bought Aaron Jones' interest
on account of some other theatres in which he was interested.
We did it principally for the reason that it interfered with
our income tax report and at the same time we had a little stock
left in the treasury.
Of course, I am perfectly satisfied that you
should have the 5% that you originally let him have in Ohio, if
it is your desire. Naturally, we will have to agree upon a
price, which is not going to he an easy matter because in this
proposition we took several losing houses, but anything that
you consider fair is perfectly agreeable to me. I never gave
the matter a thought because it in no way gives us control so
that it could not change your condition. Probably, if it had
been a fifty, fifty ownership, it might have impressed itself
upon me in that manner and I would have taken the matter
up with you first.
With best wishes, I remain,
Yours very truly,
Marcus Loew
